God has done great things in 2010 and we are likewise hoping for great things in 2011!
As we look back over the many challenges and also the victories that we have been privileged to see and play a part in this past couple years we are reminded that God will not just simply settle for being one that is studied and observed but not cherished. God will not just be a good luck charm for good health, wealth and prosperity but not be held up and adored as our greatest possession. And if He has to reveal Himself through suffering, sickness or even death, He will do so in order that He can take His rightful place in our lives and in every last people group.
This is the path that God has brought us down over this past year. We have lost close friends and our Bible teachers have even lost young children in the midst of carrying the Gospel to new unreached areas. But as we have been brought down this path, we have been all the while holding on to the hand of our loving Father. He has faithfully and lovingly directed us so that we have been “struck down but not destroyed”. On the other side of our trials we along with many of the Dao people have seen Jesus show Himself to be worth every loss and sufficient for every hardship.
Please pray for the Dao people and also for us as we serve along side them. Pray that God will do great things in the coming year and that He would continue to give us the grace to trust Him in every situation as He reveals Himself to both us and the Dao people through both the challenges and the victories that He guides us into.
MAY HE BE CHERISHED AS OUR GREATEST POSSESSION!
